Therefore David ran, and stood upon the Philistine, and took his sword, and drew it out of the sheath thereof, and slew him, and cut off his head therewith. And when the Philistines saw their champion was dead, they fled.
So David ran over and stood on top of the Philistine. He grabbed Goliath's sword, pulled it out of its sheath, and killed him by cutting off his head with it. When the Philistines saw that their champion was dead, they ran away.
David finished defeating Goliath by using the giant's own sword to cut off his head, which caused the entire Philistine army to flee in terror.
